What actually matters
LFP vs NMC Chemistry
LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries last 2,000–3,500 cycles and handle heat better. NMC packs are lighter and cheaper but degrade faster (~1,000 cycles). For home backup or long-term use, always choose LFP.
Capacity vs Output
Capacity (kWh) tells you how long it lasts. Output (Watts) tells you what it can run simultaneously. A 1kWh unit with 1800W output can run a microwave — but only for ~30 minutes.
Warranty & After-Sales
EcoFlow and Anker offer 5-year warranties. Jackery gives 3 years. Always check if the brand has local service centers or a responsive support team before buying.
Solar Compatibility
If you plan to pair with solar panels, check the max solar input wattage. Higher input means faster recharge. EcoFlow and Anker SOLIX accept up to 600–1000W solar.
Weight & Portability
1kWh units range from 11–16 kg. If you're camping or traveling, weight matters. 2kWh+ units are 19–28 kg — better suited for home or vehicle use.
App & Smart Features
EcoFlow, Bluetti, and Anker all offer companion apps for monitoring charge, scheduling, and remote control. Jackery's older models lack app support — check before buying.
